Location: Grace Christian Academy, Merrick, NY
Position Type: Long-term and full-time
Start Date: September 8th, 2026 (the day after Labor Day). There may be an opportunity to start in mid-March of 2026 depending on the timing of a pregnancy leave replacement; this is negotiable.
Grace Christian Academy, a Christian Classical school committed to nurturing both academic excellence and spiritual growth, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate High School Math/Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who have a passion for ministry and academia to teach and disciple students in a Christ-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in Math and/or Science for students in grades that may range from 7th to 12th grade.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that aligns with Christian values.
- Integrate Biblical teachings into academic lessons and classroom activities.
- Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in faculty meetings and school events as required.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the holistic development of each student.
Qualifications:
- Clear testimony of salvation.
- Good standing membership in a Bible-believing church.
- Strict adherence to the 5 Solas of the Reformation.
- Bachelor’s degree in virtually any field.
- Desire to teach and disciple students.
- Willingness to be trained in Classical pedagogy.
- Previous experience teaching in home school or corporate school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A deep commitment to the mission and values of Christian Classical education.
- Ability to integrate faith into daily lessons and classroom activities.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
